twincityhacker: hands in an overcoat's pockets (father ted)

I wonder somtimes why my most common answer to somthing is "I don't care." Then I have have days like today and realize just why I don't care. (Or, like my Dad told me, "I have no prefrence.") Apparently one of my team members has been negitive and critizing and basicaly a bitch for the last three months or so. I had not noticed this at all, and had actually had been sympathetic to many of her complaints. Except I'm liked, because I don't particualrly care to have people mad at me for non-important things like DI so I usually keep quiet or give up more quickly than normal. Except the "you people take this WAY too seriously" thing, and a few other things like "Slackers don't get nervous breakdowns." So Kat left, everyone else hates her, and no one knows if she's even going to show up tomorrow for compotion.

Another replacement: I walk into play practitice and the set is set up, which is werid enough, but one of the main charecters is replaced. Donna can't quite remember her lines, and since she's already extremly stressed out because of her job, the ACT board asked her to leave the production and replaced her with the only person who they could: the director. I don't think they should have done that, because it's A) an communtiy production. and B) they already KNEW she had problems memorizing lines. They shouldn't have taken her on if they already knew that she might not be able to do it.

And on top of this maddness today, I got a headache sometime in Chemistry so I had a problem taking the notes, but it had esclated some by the end of the day when I went to computer programing, and like the fool I am, tried to do my work. With a headahe that gets worse whenI look at bright things like monitiors and overheads. So it was pretty much agonly after twenty mintues so I quit a half hour early and tried to get my headache under control so I could get though DI practice after school. Leslie took pity on me and gave me some advil, and it really didn't help at all.

So by practice I was about ready to throw up, so I just curled up in a little ball under my coat so I'd get away from the litght for a bit. Donna (my DI coach, not the stressed actress) brought blizzards to celabrate finally gettting everything done. I got more sick and went to the bathroom after having two bites. I hide there for ten minutes and try to make myself throw up to maybe make myself feel better because last time I had a headache I trew up and felt better. No go, and Lee An got me because it was time to run lines. So I was just going to run though the set a few times and then go home.

I started feeling better by my third line. I suppose since my charecter, Spring, is just so messed up doing the lines are more carthric than a screaming match because since the only emotion I really have to convey is unbalenced. And they're pretty much stunned since I looked like complete crap but I was making sense and doing a decent job. So I just floor it for the rest of the practice and hardly slow down when the above crazyness comes out about Kat.

So after we pack up our props I get a ride home and wait around for a bit while eatting supper for a ride to the theater for the above nonsense. I also find out how a director/actor works: they direct everyone else on stage and ask for people's opion on their acting. Mostly the assistant director.

Even after being around angry people all day (the play required the actors to be arguing all the time) I'm just right as rain. And I won a shiney picture of a lamp at the AE 1930's party. The key notes of that being... well everything from the scanty soup kitchen, the American Gothic parady with the teachers faces on it, to the movies and War of the Worlds clip (if they wanted to show why the population was panicing they should have used a diffrent clip, though), to the "AE doesn't starve, why should we." But the way they parodied "The Great Gastby" was a classic though. "Whose this guy in the pool?" *Snerk*

Oh! And I changed my class from Earth & Space to Physics. The final nail in the coffin was me finding out that this interseting class is Japser's equvialnt of "Rocks for Jocks" for the "people who are more intersted in art." I'm sure that the fact that there's a small section of geology has nothing to do with this comparision, but why must they ruin a fantastic sounding class by stuffing it full of people who dont' want to be there?

To conclude: Thank god I'm going to be rid of all this drama before spring break.

it's strange... we recently finished the Great Gatsby for English... we watched a good deal of the movie (I missed a part for Mitsuwa, and my class didn't finish the movie... only up to the murder...) we then had to write a eulogy/obituary/police report on either Myrtle, Gatsby, or George... it was so dull (The paper was, and the eulogy only appplies to Gatsby, written from Nicks POV)

You've been sick too? I've been sick, going on 2 weeks now. If I got really really sick, I'm sure my mom would start to consider taking me to the doctors... after shovling me full of more asprin... which is bad from someone with a dry nose and a tendancy to have lots of bloody noses...

I really ramble sometimes, don't I? Well, I hope things shape up for you, me, I think I'll go curl up somewhere and die

*blinks* there was about ten minutes left in the movie after the murder. Though I saftly have to say that that movie was 1.0 x 10^250000 better than the Scarlet Letter film. The Scarlet Letter movie was so bad I have to express the degree of it's suckitude in scientific notation it's so bad.

Anyay, I was much better today. Even though I had far too much soda. I got a soda with a combo with lunch and procded to fill it up at the fountion because the water tasted so bad.

I seem to only get these things when the high school pay is going on, or when I'm under stress. And four activites is about as much stress as I can handle. But I'm all with you curling up in a cornor until spring break comes.
