One of my favorite things to mention to new students is that Dubois county has one of the higher suicde rates and teen alcholoism rates in Indiana. While I can't really back up the drinking data. I can say that the the statistical data on Dubois county just got another number.

Some idiot freshmen killed himself in the bathroom between classes in Ferdinand.

Every month someone kills themselves, though its more often the elderly than teensagers.

And it's so very bitter because they school system tries to keep the students safe, and to get counciling and to motivate people. It just... doesn't seem to work.

And while I don't WANT to see this happing in Altoona, I can see how it could.

But there's this little part of me that saying: Why the fuck did they wait until after first period to off themselvs? What was that tiny thing that finaly decied that they were going blow their brains out in the john?

Since odds are they were Catholic, why did they decide that hell was better than this?
