Flordia Keys Please?
Sep. 26th, 2004 02:30 amSince this came to me awhile ago, it doesn't officaly come off as a insane 2 AM idea. It's a insane 4 PM idea.
The idea is a crossover between MST3K and Portal and is a KTMA explination fix. Scared yet? Well, the idea is that both the KTMA MST3K and the regular MST3K were the same continuty. Then they run into a pocket of omni-dimesional space, literary. The weridnes of the region snapes that continuty into two. One is more like the KTMA MST3K, except nothing changes. For them, its pretty much 1989 for eterity, physicaly. But since they are wedged onto the omidiemsional space the SOL isn't moving at all. They're only movement is caused by the omni-dimensional space moving about in low-Earth orbit. But they can still contact the outside world and people can vist, but they can't leave. (think Gilligan's Island)
The other MST3K is they're somewhat idealized versions of themselves that got knocked out of them, and since they're still somewhat connected to the omni-dimesnional space though their otherselves, the dimesnional radiation still effects them, but weaker. So they CAN die, only they have to want to die or it's very, very diffictult for them to do so. So they can take a walk outside a ship without a space suit or oxygen and so on.
Does any of this make sense? I don't know. I'll have to check it after I get some sleep.

Date: 2004-09-27 04:41 am (UTC)If the KTMA SOL was diffrent than the regular SOL, that's two. Plus, was Soviet 18 the same guy as the anynomus Russian in the KTMA era who's also watching bad movies? I think so, if just for the fact that they're played by diffrent people.
I know that's already your fandom, so it's a given.
Cosmology as one of my fandoms? Well, the only astronaunt I've ever meet WAS named Mike Nelson...

Date: 2004-09-27 10:07 pm (UTC)There was a Russian in KTMA? The only one I know of was the one from season two. Is you want to nitpick about the versions of the SOL, there would also be the version from the KTMA pilot. That SOL was designed by Joel.

Not kidding? I thought you fangirled over space-related things, unless I have you confused with someone else.

Nope, not kidding. The guys name was indeed Mike Nelson. I got his autograph and my picture taken with him and laughed histericaly when I compared Astronaut Mike and Lab Rat Mike.
It's just I never thought Cosmology as a fandom before. To me, fandom is a particualr term that belongs only to book/movie/tv show hobbies. Even though I use fangirl across everything.
