I am now, at least for the rest of the day, an honorary Mongolian.

Why? I volunteered to help out with a religious pageant. The robes weren't bad, nor the shoes. Both were actually really comfy and they looked nice.

No, the killer was the 15 pound mask that had a tiny slit to see though. And, the gigantic 20 foot pole that I was holding up for an hour and a half, but it was mostly that mask. And the fact that one of the organizers told me that I had to hold onto the mask with my teeth since it was too heavy and if something happened with the mask tied under my jaw I might strangle myself.

All and all, interesting times.

Yikes, getting strangled by a heavy mask would suck. I wonder if Carmen Miranda had similar problems with the big hats she used to wear? Did they do any throat singing during the pageant?

I'm not sure - I had to leave after the dancing to go to a meeting. = (
