When fandoms collide!

The other day I was watching the Bad Wolf/Parting of the Ways two parter - well, I skipped the end of Parting of the Ways as I didn't feel like crying - when I noticed something odd about the big reveal at the end of Bad Wolf.



I thought, "Wow, that nebula looks familiar."



Way too familiar for that nebula to just be a random CGI creation.



Hold on, isn't that the most famous picture of the Horse Head nebula just flipped about?



Really, the cast can't believe it either.

Wow. Nebula's are pretty. What's a nebula?

A nebula is a cloud of dust, derbies, and ionized gases. What make nebulas so special is that the clouds colapse in on themselves and create new stars - and they can also be the remants of stars that have died. Or, both, with new stars being formed out of the rements of old.

The Horsehead nebula is where new stars are being formed. And it is rather pretty. = )
