I've already gone to the theater today.

I just stumbled upon 20 pages of the Princess Bride that I hadn't read yet. Well, it wasn't excatly the Princess Bride. It was the explination for why he was only including the first chapter of the sequal, Buttercup's Baby. I'm not sure why I had skiped it, since the asides and prefaces are nearly as entertaining as the story itself.
But now... I knew that Mr. Goldman cut out large chucks of the story. But in the explination I read that the original story by S. Morgenstern is about 1000 pages long. The adaption, minus everything but the footnotes, is 242 pages long. In other words, he choped out about 75% of the story.
So now I have somthing else to do: try to hunt down a non-adapted, translated (the orginal was in Florin.) version of the Princess Bride. Yay.
