I was writting the script for the Shakespearean play, and I wrote in a short exchange between two people in a disco/club and it goes like such.

Bob: "You are the dancing queen!"
Sue: "When did you start likeing ABBA?"

And so far two people have gotten it. TWO.

While people know what song I'm talking about - after I start singing it for them atleast - they don't know that ABBA sings it. I'm just trying to figure out if people in my age set just don't know who ABBA is or my taste in music (and the taste in music on livejournal) runs a lot more eclectic than I thought.

Uh, the joke is that ABBA sings "Dancing Queen." So when the charecter said that the other was a dancing queen, the other person thought they liked ABBA.

I wou;dn't have minded half as much if they just told me it wan't funny.

I was kidding, I know who ABBA is. Good gracious girl... and it was funny actually. Not hilarious but worth a nice chuckle.
