As he hid under one of the bulkhead doors, Dr. Forrester really wanted to kill Dr. Erhardt. No matter that Lar was already probably dead, he wanted to find him and kill him again. He could just remember him convincing him that Deep 13 would be the best place to continue conducting their experiment, since it's safe from everything except for earthquakes, and what's the odds that they were going to have an earthquake in Minnisota?

He really wanted to kill Dr. Erhardt, because his one-in-a-million chance had actually happened.

Dr. F looked around the lab. While there were some fractures in the walls, they hadn't been damaged too much. There was a advantage in building one's lab in a radioactive dump - they were built to survive just about everything. But materials on the lab benches were now on the floor, and he couldn't help wincing at the cost to replace all of it.

Crunching though the shards of broken glass, Dr. F went towards the living quarters to find Frank. He wondered if it was too much to hope that Frank had the sense to hide under something, but he didn't hire his assistant for his smarts.

The door to the living quarters had security locked, but no mere radioactive-meltdown-proof door was going to stand in the way of Dr. Clayton Forrester. He pried the door open and was greeted by a horrifying sight: The area had partially caved in and there was no sight or sound of Frank.

Dr. F raced into their quarters to try to find him. When Clay didn't find Frank unconscious in a corner, he started looking under the rubble. After several hours, Clay assumed into Second Banana Heaven or something. But refused to belive it, sine Frank wasn't doing to leave him, not like that. When finally saw Frank's hand, he sighed in relief. If he was still bodily there, that mean he didn't want to die, and Clay could bring him back.

As he leaned down to try to pry Frank from under the rocks he noticed that Frank did hide under something. The table just collapsed on him when the ceiling did. It took awhile, but Clay finally pried the other man from the rubble. He patted Frank's head before he got down to the business of examining him to see what had killed him this time.

Now, if only he could take the next tiny baby step and stop killing Frank all the time, and only kill him sometimes.
