Movie: "Life is pain! Anybody who tells you anything else is selling you something."
Book: This was, of course, after taxes. Everything came after taxes, including stew.
If I was a bit more together, I'd probably dig out my copy of he book and quote bits of Wesley's "to the pain!" speech or the entire chapter on Fezzik and Indigo going down the stairs in the Zoo of Death.
Well, maybe a bit of the going down into the Zoo of Death:
"I apologize," Indigo said. "One lie in all these years, that's not a bad average considering that it saved our lives."
"There's such thing as principle." was all that Fezzik would answer, and opened the door that led to the fourth level.
