twincityhackerJust got back inside. Someone burnt some popcorn, turning on the fire alarm, necessitating an evacuation.
Actually, no. Three people had something burning in their microwave, and someone else burned something in the oven. All within the same short period of time.
A neighbor said that she was glad that it at least happened on a clear night in September than during a snowstorm during finals week in December. And that we all got to the right place! We were having an Optimistic Off, because the fire trucks hadn't gotten there yet.
I'm glad it was just a popcorn fire, because if it had been a real fire we'd all been screwed.
