It wasn't so bad that Bush landslided the school election, the state elelection. I was expecting that, seeing that we have a lot of one issue voters where I live (mostly pro-life and anti-gay marriage) and since since Bush thinks like them, they voted his way. I'm still bitter about the national election. And even more bitter about what some of my classmates did when one of the teachers put up Kerry's concession speach. They were cheering and booing and so on. A few at least gave him a bit more respect, since he had just lost a several million and the presidency.

Before I was depressed, then I was angry, now I'm strangly optimistic about the future. I'm not sure why. We're going to have another US soil terriost attack, Iraq will desend further into chaos, the enviomental laws are being repled. But at least one day it will be OVER. The regin of the Shub will end, and THANK GOD for that presidental term limit. We may have to worry about a pupet offcial, but let's just get though the next three years, dig our bomb shelters, and get busy not reporting our neighbor for communist actities.

Okay, maybe not the bombshelters.

Political parties are a hard thing to kill. To do that, Bush will have to do a heck of a lot of damage to ruin his creditbility with his followers, let alone his party.

What I think is the odd thing with all of this is that a person will vote for a canidate just because they are the nominne of a certin political party. However, if the elected offical makes horrible errrors, they're very unwilling to raise doubts about the party's polices.

Maybe the world will get lucky and someone will overthrow the president. I don't need 3 more years of shit from the next door neighbors.

i feel strangely optomistic as well. but i think that's becasue if i let myself decesend into despair someone is going to get shot.
