Today we celebrated Di`a de los Muertros and that ment hispanic food day. So I got homemade tortia chips, tortia soup, flan, and other spainish goodies, yum!

And would anyone know what the spanish word for UNIX is? I've been working on translating Monster Movie into Spanish, but I just can't find that word in any English-Spanish dictionary. I would just leave it as UNIX, but since AIDS is S`IDS, I'm not so sure.

I have a feeling that the school president-elect is going to be Bush, since someone or several someones toar all the Kerry signs down that they could reach. (The ones that were praticaly posted on the ceilling are still up) Plus quite a few people are anti-Kerry because he's a baby killer because he supports Roe vs. Wade. I think they're crazed fo a few reasons, most of which are relgious in flavor and it's against my code of ethics to talk about religion, so I won't.

I also think that Indiania is going to go red, and be very surprised that it doesn't. BUT, hopefully Kerry is going to win the presidentcy by a large enough margin that its uncontested.

I might be having my apocylpse party a little sooner than I planed though.

If the US stops existing, you can always move up here in Canada.

Short history of the Unix name. According to the article, Unix stands for "UNiplexed Information and Computing System". I've found that with computer (namely from modern markup/programming languages) that almost everything is very close to broken American English and it doesn't change depending on your location.

Google seems to say that Unix is "Unix" in Spanish. I'd stick with that. Why are you translating the fic in Spanish, anyway?

Since I happen to forget things I don't use in everyday life, Spainish being one of them, I decied the best way to remember the various Spainish tenses and conjegations was to read and translate fanfiction over the summer.

I never got around to it.

But when we were coming back from Florida a few weeks ago, I was reading and writing down some of Monster Movie, and realized that the English was simple enough; it had fewer slang words and idioms than the other fic I was considering. And since I'm sucking in Spanish this year, it certianly can't hurt. Now if I could find a fannish use for chemistry...

Moving to Canada and running a llama farm with my sister is the backup plan. Or was it the goat farm making beauty supplies and then cheese? It's something involving a farm in Canada anyway.

And your back-up back-up plan is to move to Japan with Tyler and me (and possibly a select few others), right? ;)
