I was going to ask if why things fall though the Rift all the time, why do people not notice the big gold swirly thing.

Then I realize this is the same universe where people wrote off being invaded by dinosaurs for a month. Not to mention at least two Cybermen invasions and a whole host of alien activity Though, thankfully, the citizens of of the Whoverse seemed to have a clue after... at least forty years.

I also want to belt out "All Out of Love" at the top of my lungs. This is generally not a bad thing, except I have no idea what the lyrics are. Oh dear.

In a nutshell - terrorists dumping hallucinogens in the water supply seems to be the stock story.

Not that I've ever found any evidence that terrorists have ever put drugs into the water supply. I would think that they would just poison it.
