Is it bad I'm actually seriously considering buying the Torchwood books?

Okay, but I'm working out Jack's timeline according to primary and secondary cannon, so I'm working with the bits on Jack's node on the HUB database as I've got the dates from the tv show cannons as of now already done.

Firstly, and the parts that just make my head explode, is the two mentioning of the Towcester-Cockley Brake Line. A quick look about explains that it's a line on the London Midland Western region railway, on the London Division, outer area part. Or at least that's the part on the party line as I've now read up upon telephone circuts on railways.

Now that I know what the Towcester-Cockley Brake Line is, the two notices don't make too much more sense. The first notice is the sale of the line to Major P. Brooke, and asking whoever about the present position of the sale. What's odd is that the lo-tech version is censord the name of the major and the last bit of the line, along with the last name of the writer of the missive, a J. E. X. The high-tech version contains no censoring marks, but does not contain the name of the writer either - not even the J. E. part.

The second is a notice of the sale of the aforementioned Towcester-Cockley Brake Line to a Major P. Brooke for 43 pounds on 2 July 1962. Both copies contain the same information.

Now, the only thing that I can figure is that Jack was handing the sale of it to Torchwood. Because of the intials, and the fact that the coding on the memo ends with HAR.

Though the really fucked up thing is that "The Stranger" from the Torchwood journal extract in 1953 that saying that the stranger has been there since about 1908 is weird when there's a newspaper clipping from January 27 1932 that has a man got struck by lighting twice. Unless Jack has been though Cardiff multiple times, which would explain why he agrees to be kept in a freezer until the time he falls back though the rift into the past.
