I will not get the book that is on global perspecives on United States history. Even if it's on fire sale for $5. And it has the UK view of Puritains and the War for Independence, and the first actual time that I saw "Gurrila Warefare" and "Colonists" in the same sentence.

And I'm not getting "Under No Uncertian Terms" which is about language changes in the US. No. I'm probably going to end up with those books, aren't I?

I am, however, getting "Blink" for my Intro to Infomatics class. As the Proffesor is assigning a book report on it for extra credit. It's for class! It's not just knowlage porn. Which is kinda odd that I used this sentnce when today we talked about the various kinds of infomation loss - espeicaly that in busneiss with going for the cheepest producer. Of course, now the proffesor thinks I'm a kind of merchending anti-Christ as I both like eating McDonalds chicken McNuggest and think that Walmart is a good place to shop. Of course, the Walmarts where I've lived are really nice, clean and staffed with friendly people and the only fried chicken I'm able to consume without deeply reggreting the fact later is the McNugget, so I'm a bit biased.

I also can't transcribe, but that's something completely diffrent. = )

McNuggets are yummy, though if I think about them past that point they make me nervous XD

And Walmart. . . they're cheap, so I shop there when I'm in the area. I realize they are bad and evil, but most the time I just don't care enough to not shop there.

Once you start living on your own, regardless of how liberal you are, it becomes an attractive place to shop.

I've liked Walmart for awhile, though when it became amost the sole place for me to get anything I started to like it a bit more.

Then I got the almost complete life story of a cashier, and I liked it a little more. I mean, yes, they buy almost exlusivly from China, but so does almost everyone else. And the people at that store weren't being beaten down and were happy working there - or at least "happy" as compared to any other place they could be working - enough. Again, that's only for the Walmart in Jasper, as I've also seen some pretty scary ones. It's not very even.

Walmart was the sole place to really shop in Jasper, as in Bloomington there are options. Not that I can really afford to go shopping, but I no longer have to drive an hour to buy dress pants.

It's interesting stuff, snap judgements, instant understanding, how it goes right and how it can go terribly wrong. Definitely worth the read. I hope I get to study it officially in class someday.
