twincityhacker: hands in an overcoat's pockets (Real Life is Real Fictional)
I have visited The Book Depot. In return for some of Dad's college textbooks, and other books he doesn't need, we both pulled out some v. v. nice books from there. Dad got books from four authors he likes, including Robert Parker and David Farrs ( a former horse jockey ). I Made out with a hardcover of Terry Pratchett's Going Postal, Alexander McCull Smith The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency, Ellis Peters' The Holy Thief - A Medieval Whodunnit, a book of short stories by Jhumpa Lahri, and Night Magic by Charolette Vale Allen, which is a cross between Beatuty and the Beast and The Phantom of the Opera, and I really hope it has the happienes factor of the former rather than the later.

And with and additional trip to Walmart, I have a phone charger and another year's coverage for my cell phone. Which is awesome, since I haven't been able to use my phone since May.
