Mar. 5th, 2008 08:18 pmI had a freak out on the way to class, but since I was further to class than my room I truged on. Plus I thought he might kick me out of class.
The first little bit was bad, but then I got to beat people to death with my brain, and the more I did that the better I felt.
Also, I'm far more capable of articulating fellow LJers points to non-LJ people. Today it was "feminism historically - and with some branches presently - does not take into consideration lower class or black or lesbian perspectives."
But I was also v. v. slangy. On why the Declaration of Sentiments included a phrase that maligned forigeners and degraded men: "Because everyone was hating on everyone else."
Half the class was also missing, which included everyone who talked last time, so I kinda domenatied the discussion. It also helped that I had an idea what the waves of feminism was, goals, points, people... basically, it helped that I already had a background in feminism and historical woman figures and movements. And I do not like silence.
We're also focusing on American woman, so there was no Mary Wollstonecraft for us. I'm still doing my paper on Lise Meitner.
Now, I'm going to watch Torchwood's idea of a Romantic Comedy. = )
