I keep going from "Yay! I'm going to college!" to "I'm going to fail out and end up selling beads on the street in Greece!" to just about everything in between. And the parts of me that are not consumed with drama is very amused with the whole situation.

I think the only thing left to do is to pack up the computer - I'm going to do that tonight - and a few other odds and ends like choose the pillow I'm taking.

Yes, chosing the proper pillow is important. The pillows that came with the rest of the beding are new and therefore not right and somewhat scary. So I'm going to take the pillows from the bed, as for me the older the thing is the better it is for sleeping. Like people are always going on about new mattresses, but the one I like best is the one on my bed that's almost twice as old as I am. I guess they don't make mattresses like they used to. = )

So, I happen to checking up on people, and I go over to see if [livejournal.com profile] dragomorph has posted anything. And lo, not had she posted something recently, she wrote a MiSTing. The Snake Boots Epedemic.

It's a little odd, with a very intersting crew premise. Mike, Crow, and Tom actually voulnters to be shot into space to riff bad movies - but with budgets and all he's currently stuck with bad fanfic. With Pearl and Dr. Enhert and Bobo running the experiment.

It's a fun read, if just the image of Observer finaly growing a spine.

Now, TO SEE MOTHERFUCKING SNAKES ON A MOTHERFUCKING PLANE!

So...

Snakes on a Plane. I went in with my $3.50 to see Samuel L. Jackson and lots of snakes. I ended up with all of that plus a fairly good movie. Except for the occasinal incidnece of gore that I could do without, but hey, I'm just not a fan of cinenamatic gore.

But the most surpising thing about the film was that it had a fairly good score.

Though the tittle sequence with the guy on the bike just riding and ridding, I thought that I had acciedently walked into a remake of "Manos": The Hands of Fate, and thought that it would be dark soon, and then there would be no escape. Then I mentaly slapped myself and saw with releif that the credits was over.

And, I did look up what was playing at the Drive-In, which is located localy in Rockford. (When I say "local" I mean it's located 40 min. away.) The doubble bill was Snakes on a Plane and Clerks 2. I'm not sure whether I wanted to see Clerks 2 or not so I just went to the Jasper 8 instead.

Does anyone know of a tutorial that teaches one how to get a airbrush effect with prismacolor markers?

And, thus, this is my last post from the Den of Inequity, the house's basement. We've had some good times like that time I organized the media and realized we had The Last Crusade on Beta, VHS, and DVD; and some bad like my first tornado warning alone.

But, my next post will be in the Flop of Solitude. Or my dorm room, so expect some drama in the next post. Or deep wondering where the fuck the dineing hall is depending on how hungry I am.

Or maybe some time zone wankery. Oh god, the time zone wankery. Did I mention that Dubois county is again petitioning to change time zones? Yeah, we were on Eastern, then we were Central, and then they want to go back to Eastern. I still say fuck this shit, move the entire state of Indiana to Central and try to get the country to abandon this Daylight Savings nonsesne. It is not all that it is cracked up to be. But Big Energy wants Daylight Savings, as it causes more people to use their air conditioning, as air conditions suck up way more power than light bulbs do. Have you ever seen a power effecincy air conditioner?

It's crazy. The only time I really cried when I graduated when I gave Mrs. Burns a F. Scott Fitzgerald book that I found, and then I realized I wasn't gonna see her again. I've only started crying that I'm leaving for college now. I suppose "The Last Shot" wasn't the best song to listen to, huh?
