For sociology class, my teacher wants us to come up with some religous films. But since I really don't want to see either The Passion of the Christ or Left Behind, I'm trying to come up with some altenitive films that you, know, would be religous and entertaining. Or at least films that won't make me want to strangle the charecters.

So the list so far is:

Spirted Away
Dogma
Dead Poet's Society
Yentl
A Charlie Brown Christmas
Dagon (sadly, he said no)
The Prince of Egypt
A Friendly Persusation

Any suggestions?

Plus the movie has to be fairly easy to find - so no HELL HOUSE.

I've heard that it is quite good .

And rather rage inducing - liz_marcs wrote a review of it here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/liz_marcs/138507.html).

But it sounds like a much better documentary than that cracked one about gender diffrences - you could probably do a better one with one hand tied behind your back.
