I was thinking about the [livejournal.com profile] yuletide project story. I started with a Joel telling the 'bots about the relationship, then I have Joel experinceing it, and a rought idea on Drs. Forrester and Erndrlt non-veiws on the subject but no Mike POV.

Should I write it from Mike's view? Because I have a harder time writting pre-SOL Mike than I do Joel, because I have fewer Mike conpricies than I do Joel, so I don't have a good grip as I do on Joel.

Then again, I have a better idea how I want to charcterize Dr. Ernlrt and Cambot than I do Mike, so I'm clearly not basing any of this off of reality.

Well, except those five minutes in Time Chasers, where Mike lived in Wisconsin...

Wait. If Mike lived in Wisconsin but worked in the cities, would he be living in Woodburry or is that in Minnisota. And if Joel worked in Eden Prarie, it's rediculous to think that he would be living anywhere's near Mike, since Eden Prarie is on the oppiste side of Minnipolis than Wisconsin. And there goes half of my premise. Dammit.

But then again, there are clearly some sort of high bluff by Gizmonics, and the only place you see those in the MidWest in my experinece is in the Wisconsin Driftless section.

So what I'm trying to say is, it probably wouldn't be too much of a strech to have Joel living in Wisconsin, since people do communte into the area from Wisconsin, or at least the Mall of America has people commuting from Wisconsin to work there...

Logic and MST3K is never a good thing to get into, is it?

Probably not. But Mike *was* in a band, and maybe they had gigs at Mall of America and other further places. Not *good* further places, but gigs are gigs. Also, he was a temp worker, so maybe that would send him to whatever odd jobs wherever.

This is me trying to make it make sense to you. I know noting about temp workin' jobs, but whatever might sound somewhat pausible.

I'm really more upset at myself making this story way harder than it is.

I think I'm just getting fustrated by trying to keep the details somewhat like our reality and making the MADS seem just a little sane on why they picked Joel in particualr.

Plus, there's the the fact that, without the experiment, I don't really see them having too much incommon. And the stuff I do have them in common, I don't know if it's the experiment that's making them act the way they do, like the nearly encyclopdiatic knowlage of pop culture.

And I'm being really difficult for myself by not taking the easy way out by just having Mike "coincidently" temping at Gizmonics. But that's been done, except without the slash.

Right. The band. I think I have an idea that I can use, I just hope that "The Sex Factory" is a rock band and not a really strange name for a folk band.

Haha. Maybe one of Joel's friends drags him to one of Mike's gigs. Maybe they do have odd similar interests and upon first meeting each other wouldn't even consider hanging out. But then again, 85!Mike was alot different from 94/95!Mike
