Heh, some idiot spamed The Modulas. But they didn't even have the decentcy to post spam messages to MiST, but just links to skectchy online pharmacies.
And I finished the third chapter of the mst3k/war of the worlds crossover. I'm thinking of calling it "In Later Years of the Twentith Century."
It also took me forever to figure out how to write the first paragraph. The only reason why it got done was the fact I started the with the last few paragraphs, then went back to the begining.
Part Three: Blindsided
For the people on that street, there was no destination in anyone's mind except to get away from that place, and find someplace safe.
After minutes of running down the street, Dr. Erhardt was able to push past his fear, and start thinking about where they were going to hide. He hoped that Joel had reached the same conclusion, because he didn't think he could survive the invasion on his own.
"Where are we going?" Dr. Erhardt wheezed to Joel.
"We just can't keep going... we've gotta.. keep our heads." Joel glanced at the surrounding area, and made a descension. Joel pointed at the railroad tracks. "We'll follow these. That way we can find our way back, but we'll find more cover than if we just stuck to the road."
They turned the corner, and started following the tracks. Few people had taken this option, and they almost had the rail bed to themselves.
"Maybe we should just follow the tracks until we out of town. They'd probably start destroying the rails and the roads after they finish destroying the rest of the power grid..." Joel trailed off, trying to think of where they could go. "What about you're place?"
He stared at Joel for a moment. "It's right next to a power station. Besides, if I thought it was safe, would I have come to you?"
"Perhaps."
The other man shrugged, and went back to being on the look out for Martians. "Joel? I don't think we were lucky."
"What?"
"The Martians are right behind us!" Dr. Erhardt shouted at him.
"What?" Joel exclaimed and looked behind them as saw that a few blocks away the Martian war machine had turned the corner and was making it's way towards them. Joel looked desperately around them again for cover. "What are we going to go?"
Dr. Erhardt, seeing an opportunity to escape, pulled Joel around the corner and into the alley.
"It's a dead end!" Joel cried as he saw that the road ended in a wall. He turned around quickly, thinking to go back the way that they came, but was that at the mouth of the street people were being vaporized. Then he saw the dumpster. "Over here." he hissed to Dr. Ernheart, and climbed into the receptacle. Dr. Erhardt winced, but looked up the street and saw that the Martians were getting closer, and climbed in after Joel, closing the lid down on top of them.
And now the mad doctors name is fixed again! I keep forgeting it's Dr. Erhardt, not Dr. Ernheart.
