Today's the summer solstice. It's been hotter than blazes here recently, all the more hotter for it suddenly going up to 11. Central Air is one of the best inventions ever.

Yesterday was a Grand Shopping Expidention, as I had an early eye doctor's appointment. Mom also had a gift certificate that was expering at Target, so we made a stop there and bought a few things, including Cooking Mama Cook-Off as Mom thought she deserved a game-game and her and mine tastes in that area do not coincide. We also picked up some bread and went to the meat market, the fish store, the farmers market, and the coffee, tea, and dried herb store. The fish store now sells sushi on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

We also hit up a furniture store to replace the TV stand, and the ceder chest the TV was sitting on is now at the foot of my bed. Now my mattress no longer slides off the box spring!

I've been following whats going on in Iran and sending out good vibes into the universe that things don't become more bloody than they are already. I've seen lots of videos recently, and Neda's videos more than anyone should.

Happy Solstice! Remember, it all gets brighter from here.

And four more days until Ten'n'Kylie, and 26 days until series two of Torchwood. Not that I'm counting or anything.
