I went to class. I read the paper. I ate brunch. I finished "The Left Hand of Darkness" by Ursula K. Le Guin, which I should probably do a review for.

It's hardly afternoon, and my brain refuses to turn over. All circuitry burnt out for the day - which is unfortunate as the day is hardly over.

I blame the journalist who wrote "The woman lighted three candles." in today's edition of the New York Times. = )

Maybe it's the time of year - first week back and everyone's knackered already.

And just...no...no that is not how the verb goes. Just No. *facepalm*

Yeah, it wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have all this other stuff I'm supposed to be doing but have not actually quite done yet. Like Arabic, and writing a paper. Two papers, a slew of programs, and a phonetic analysis...

But Arabic comes first, as that's the only thing actually due tomorrow!

Unfortunately, I don't even have that excuse - I've been at university for three weeks now. So far, though, Wedsday seem to be the day where jumping out the window seems like a valid plan.

And, yeah, I hope "lighted" isn't crawling into standard usage - I like lit!

lighted?

You plan to send in an angry letter, right? It's the New York Times, isn't it supposed to have standards?

I'm tempted - though I'm sure they've already been inundated already!
