Note to self: It's bad manners to list Autonomously written works under my own personal joke for such writers. (Even if Jonas Jonaitis is technically a form of John Doe, most people won't recognize it as such.)
And I'm all set to watch the State of the Union. And I'm working on my fluff to get me though the damm thing as well - it's Torchwood instead of MST3K this year though.
Though, remember my Portal/MST3K crossover? It's now the Portal/MST3K/Who-verse crossover. And yet, it still makes sense as it's dealing with rifts in time, space, and dimensions. Though the universe is still cracked out as hell.

Date: 2007-01-24 03:24 am (UTC)See, even though I love and adore fic, I'm a bit crap at writing it. Mostly because I can hash out the details, but I can't quite find plot to go with the details. So I have a universe (technically, it's a multiverse as there's 'our' dimension and a whole host of other dimensions in Portal, then the divergent time streams in the Who-verse, and the 'dark' dimension and the mirror-verse in MST3K) and lots of notes on just about anything you'd care to know except a plot.
Of course, I have some awkward problems with the current set up, in regarding that there would be humans that know more about dimensional space than the Doctor. Of course, that's just because half of them didn't have anything better to do than observe dimensional rifts for decades. Except for Dave and Val in the Hub, which is brings up a whole compare and contrast with the Hub in Cardiff.
But, I love this multiverse and character so much I've been fiddling with it for years. But I'm lacking a plot, and all right now I can find is that the the warp and the woof of the multiverse are cracking and separating, and that's almost a clear lift from an RPG that I'm reading.

As for the State of the Union, I've already heard it. It's just the last one with different words. Like always.

And it was. Except for the beginning with the "Madam Speaker" bit, which made me all fuzzy.
