I've been hunting down Jeeves & Wooster things, and I finally looked up what books they had of the library. The good news is that they have lots and that there are more tapes of the series floating around the library system.

The bad news is that half of the books are in the Liliy Library, also known as the rare materials library that there is no way I'm going to be able to get at them. Most of the other half is in the Research collection, and I feel kinda bad about checking out a reserch collection book for a fun read. So out of the "lots" theres about one or two books in the acutal browsing library.

Though I am entertaining the idea that I would be, infact, conducting research. I'm just conducting research of a fandom nature. = )

Uhm. So. Twincityhacker needs to practice writting Spanish. Rather lots. Any objections to the occasional/not so occasional livejournal post? There'll be a not very helpful English translation attached, so no one would miss my prattlings.

Either that, or spanish language MST3K fanfiction. Probably a 1setence thing. Though I know some of you would be very exicted to see dragomorph's "Musings" in Spansih, yes? I've only been promising to translate it for ages!

I went to this "Future Potential of IT" thing today. It was apparently a confrence. I can't remember a thing they really said, and I don't know whether or not it was because they kept spouting either things I already knew about the IT field and that they covered at least 3 times in the lecture. Or the speakers kept saying sloganized speach which I tend to filter out whether or not it's advertising. Because sloganized speack doesn't really tell you anything new, and I'm not sure if it's even supposed to be communication. It's just word noise, so I filter it out.

Besides word-noise, the confrence made me more skittish about the IT field. Not enough to make me change my major to something else, no matter how much that woman tries to hard sell a Spanish major, but vauge feeling of apprehension and/or oncoming doom.
