Yesterday Sam Rhine came to give the Genetic Update confrence, so I skipped out on school and did that instead. Six hours of biology = yay.

The speach as somewhat similar to last years presentation - actually the last half hour or so was just a re-tread on last year's speach with some info on what the hell was going on in South Korea the last few weeks.

Anyway, somewhere the along the day, we got the "Complete Idiot's guide to HIV and AIDS" talk. (And yes, he did give "for god's sake, use a condom!" speach too.) And as near as I can figure, HIV is one of those things that make's you argue against intellegent design, because the only reason why HIV makes you sick is because the receptors on the virus just happens to fit snug to the receptors on white blood cells.

And if I ever need to have a mad scientist who is a biologist, I know excatly what their working on. *nods*

I also read Memiors of a Genisha yesterday, and it... well, it mostly sucked. I'm not sure why, but I think it's the romance. And the vauge hollowness of the gensia, since to be sucessful they had to be someone's mistriss. Yeah, I didn't like the book.

But what I did end up liking was The Book of Daniel. But when they weer talking about the missing money, I couldn't help thinking "I didn't embezzle the money, it was just resting in my account before I moved it along!"

But it did interfer with watching NUMB3ERS - I hope The Book of Daniel is going to be shown in the first time slot since it had a two hour debut.

When I was practicing my driving today, I decied to find all the diffrent factories in town.

There are, belive it or not quite a few - Jasper Chair, Jasper Cabient, Jasper Seating, Jasper Desk, Kimbal, Jasper Wood Products, Jasper Engines and Transmissions, Masterbrand and the one I didn't know was a factory. There could be more factories than I know of. And only two or are former factories. One is Jasper Cabient, and the other I didn't even know was a factory untill today since their renting it out as a wareshouse and it's covered will adversiesments.

But the coolest building today wasn't a factory, but the town's power plant. It's modern 50's, and looks cool. Now, if I can only take a picture of it without people thinking I'm a terrorist.

It's...

Snowblind by Ludditerobot is a Buffy the Vampire story set in Minasota. Of course, my brain decided to go to pot when the first charecter mentioned in the story is Mike. Then, it was pretty much a free-for all in the riff department ("Do you think they live in Circle Pines?" "Well, due to global warming there's 10,005 lakes" "And if that was true, the English would have never conqured parts of France." ect.)

Okay, my brain did shut up with the Xander in the make-shift archery range.

Last paragraph. Mike is onstage again, and up pops Steph. O_o;

It's not spelled the same, but still. Now, if this doesn't speak for universal sub-concious*, or at least an amazing coincidnece, I don't know what does.

Now, if you will excuse me, I need to dig my lair to keep me safe from the mind control rays.
