I was thinking about this today when for some reason the mac I was using crashed. It's not that PC or Macs run better than the other, it's just the two systems are equal amounts of suck.

For instance, both server systems at school hate me and the rest of the student body. As in, they just don't log in properly. Or some programs don't work on either system, no matter how much you try them to play nice, system administrators included.

And one of the major reasons to buy a PC or a Mac, one has almost no viruses and one has more compatible programs, is because of Microsofts near monopoly. And it's not like what's inside the box is any diffrent - if I understand what I'm reading right, they both use the same chips.

I'm just not getting the OS love. I suppoe it's because I think a car is a mode of transportation too, I guess.

Oh, and I need to stop with the new obbessions. This classical/instumental thing has got to stop. And where the hell did this Batman thing come from? *shakes head* at least I get why Firefly is interseting.

It also seems like I have hit a road block in a little plot device. Mostly, I'm trying to figure out how to get someone on the SOL to speak Russian, without resotring to Joel's near-psychic programing skills. You know, the ones where he doesn't remember loading a entire run of a television series, the codes for unlocking all the doors in Gizmonics, the layout of the SOL, ect.

Anyway, I had Joel or Magic picking up Russian from their extremely unfortunate soap opera adiction. Except the first soap to hit Russia was a (dub) of a Brazilian soap in 1995.

Not to mention that Soviet Programing was basicaly a channel of PBS, a channel of vidNPR, and a local access channel if they were lucky.

So I could, actually, have one of them following another kind of programing. Soaps just seemed better because it's just all melodramic in the first place, so the propogranda elements wouldn't be too painful.
