We had a wicked bad storm last night, probably since it was extremely warm here yesterday, somewhere in the 60s I think.

And Aunt Linda just called to see if we were alright, since a tornado touched down in and around Evansville. And even though we do some of our shopping in Evansville, it's an hour away.

Make that E. Aunt Mary and Auntie Linda and Mama.

And yes, Evansville is much flater than it used to. So is Kentucky.

It also missed the core area of both Evansville and Henderson, KY. If it had, the casulty list would have been much higher.

And for the curious, the front was at least from Kentuky into central Wisconsin.

One more thing: this storm also blindsided the storm teams. There was a 10 minute warning. This is from the same groups of people who start to freak when they have the slightest twich of rotational movement. Seriously, they have little graphics for rotational movement.

One more thing before I go to the historical renacment of the Battle of Tippercanoe.

It's "Lou-vill" not "Loui-ville" for Louisville.

Thank you.

The renactment I went to was not the Battle of Tippercanoe, but "Muster on the Wabash." Even though we arrived late for the battle because of a wrong turn, we didn't miss much. It was the general, "see the white man kill the indians." It was so bad that even though the white folks were standing in a line in open cover, the indians behind the trees couldn't hit them. *sigh*

But we hit up all the tents, from the lace-maker to the indian encampment. Plus stew and homemade birch-root beer.

And I'm thinking of joining Daughters of the Revolution.
