twincityhacker: hands in an overcoat's pockets (father ted)
Burned myself with acid today, or at least I think so, since the skin is all discolered no matter how hard I scrub. And everyone in Chem II seems hell bent on killing each other with noxious fumes from the lab that we've been doing. In my class it was people forgetting to do one reaction, the one that produces brimstone, in the hood while the other period kinda forgot to turn on the fume hoods at all and drove the class into the hall.

And I finally bit the bullet and downloaded firefox since my own webpage was trying to get me to download spyware. And i downloaded Avida. I was reading Discover when I ran across an article about it, I decied to check it out for myself. Avida is a program that models the evolutionary process, as the simple programs mutate and evolve. Actual scientists use this to study questions and preform experiments in theretical biology and evolutionary dynamics that they couldn't do or would be extremly difficult to do in RL.

And apprently creationists make fantastic betas for computer programs that model evolution.
