Happy Halloween!
Oct. 31st, 2004 08:59 pmAs I was handing out candy, and not doing much of that, I noticed that the kids that where trick or treating where being shuttled around in their parents cars. Even though the weather was pleasent When I pointed this out to Mom, she said that the majority of the kids in elementary get picked up by thier parents so why should Halloween be any diffrent?
So while I wasn't giving out candy, I finished reading The Ladies of Seneca Falls, and realized that one of the things said over and over against womans rights is that women's rights would lead to the disolving of the sacticty of marrige. So I was thinking that the next time someone brought up that alowing gays to get married would bring forth the end of civilization, I should ask if they also support the complete subjecation of women. The only problem with that is that they would have no clue what I'm rambling about now. Plus it's probably a bit extreme, but only a bit.
