Lights, Sound, Action!
Aug. 20th, 2004 08:20 pmThe guy who ran the lightboard for Grease is moving upstate so he can't be in the Actor's Community Theater anymore unless he drives five hours back to Jasper. And since he's the main lighting guy, and no one else (presumenly) has expressed any interest in lighting, they asked me to be the main lighting chick.
Since the only lighting training I've had is was my almost living at the theater a few years ago for The Wiz, and my crash course in running spotlight this summer, I'm going to get a crash course in the lightboard.
So it was good that I started reading the lightboard manuel one day.
But this means I have to be in town for every show that uses that stage, I think. And I really don't want to call a show either. When you "call a show" you tell when everyone to get ready, when to go, when the intermission ends, ect. In other words, you're in charge of just about everything.
