Ya know, I told my sister that I would help her move in. My help is probably not needed because she's just dumping the stuff in. Alyissa is settling in as she goes, it seems.
And guess what. I'm not gonna help her.
I'm a member of the local actor's community theatre guild, and yesterday they called when I wasn't home to ask if I could help on the play. So I called them back today and said I would, thinking that what they wanted was some help setting up or at worst moving sencery.
What they really called for was to ask me to help with the lighting. So I'm running spots. And since the musical, it's Grease by the way, it opening next Friday. So I can't skip the damm two days it will take to run the stuff up to Madison because I was the first and only person on the list to help with lighting. A since they ahad to tap the reserve list to fill two postions already (the stage manager and the other spotlight) and they're very, very fall behind, I couldn't say no.
That doesn't mean I should have said "bugger off" in a nice way. Which I should still say. And my sister kinda wantened me to go. And I want to go. But do I go? No. Because even if I said I'm going to Wisconsin, see ya, and put everything in her apartment, I'd feel even angrier about skiping out on my obligations to the community theater.
Then again, I'm skipping out on MY SISTER. So what's worse, screwing with 40 people's day, or screwing with my sister's day?
