You can't legaly buy fireworks in MA

Mental Note: Vist New York City next year for the Fourth of July. For whatever reason, we didn't go see the fireworks in person last night and ended up watching them on TV. We watched them from Washington DC, New York City, and Boston. I went to sleep before the ones in Boston went off, but when they cut to commercial breck during the 1812 Overture, I didn't have much hope in them. The fireworks in Washington DC were nice, from what we saw of them. The camera crew went a little crazy, showing everything but the fireworks. Instead there was tons of shots of people standing in the reflecting pool in front of the Washington Monument.

But the fireworks in New York City were spectacular and Mama said that they were the best she ever saw, even better than the ones during the Bicentenial.

Today, were really doing nothing excpet having Auntie Linda over for pork chops and Papa's complainging about his wrists because he fell last night and they're sore and right now he's trying this air activated heating pad.

Nothing really happened, but I'm updating anyway because I can.

Mh, I'm going to be so happy when I get my new glasses... right now, I'm getting these little headaches for no reason that I can see.  I'm not reading a lot, I'm not on the computer a lot... well, I was a little longer than I have been today catching up on stuff.  But I've got a headache three times in the last four days, and I just got rid of one right now, have two pain pills and chugging a small bottle of gatorade.  Don't ask me how gatorade get's rid of them, but it does, so I'm certainly not complaining.

And some fanfiction recs.  liz_marcs just posted a story based on Mobey Dick called Ishmael Sings of the White Whale that's good.  And check out Living History of her's while your at it.  She's in the Buffy/Angel fandom.

nwhepcat also writes good things in the Buffy/Angel fandom. I didn't love Exiled Ghosts so much for some reason, but her stuff is really good.  Especialy Lilaic City. 

And I've already proped Steps Though Time by Michele.  I think I got her name wrong again...  And that's what I've been reading lately...

I might as well do For Him by rei_ite on fanfiction.net  I don't think it's really finished, but I like it and I read it a lot last summer.

And specking of unfinished... not that I have anything against unfinished but that's the first thing when I think of unfinished works because there's, what, a total of five finished series in the MST3K fandom but I still love the stories anyway except Tales from the Satilite because of that stupid clifhanger that makes me think these elabrate continuations... deep breath...
