twincityhacker: hands in an overcoat's pockets (the dramas of a light tech)

From the what I have gathered on the drama about the possible userinfo page, I have learned an important life lesson:

For the love that is good and holy, don't post something like that on the weekend.

Mostly because the resentment will just feed on eachother and make it turn out much worse than than it is. Actually, a feedback loop is probably the whole deal with wank too. It starts bad and then just gets worse and worse 'til
someone kills it.

Now, I need to go to sleep before I decide it would be a really good idea to do various things that I'll definatly regret in the morning.

they're starting a petition -_-

My response?

"Am I the only one who remembers that they mentioned you can use the (what will now be deemed) "Classical" setting? You're not being forced to use the new way... it just gives other people more options. "OMG, they're a business who's trying to attract MORE PEOPLE!" yea, them and their shitty business ethics of wanting money, the bastards...

Really, I can't believe you people are a willing party to this... besides this petition won't work. But hey, just to make you all fell better I'll sign in all seriousness..."

It's just pathetic that they're getting all bitchy about how it's being turned into myspace... which isn't even remotely true. Myspace has a bitchin' music option to add to your profile, this place probably never will.

It's just fucking hilarious that people are worried about "teeny-boppers" invading the site, like they're going to have to deal with them -_-...

I do like the gray bar at the top page that gives you all the links, but the rest is just...no. But, if I can turn it off, no biggie. Why piss off the people who like it?

As long as we don't have underaged camwhores, we're not MySpace.

It's like they're afraid that the "teeny-boppers" are going to put shiney unicorn stickers on them if they use the same webservice.

But I'll be quite happy to avoid the music option, because there is programs in that place that my computer doesn't like and causes it to crash.

I don't think the petition will work either.

I don't know what's really going on. There's just been a ton of general unrest about the English-speaking livejournal areas.

The Vox thing is irritaing people, that the're making a platform pitched towards "the adults." And what peole see as ficing things that are not broken and not addressig concerns. And the whole brestfeading icons thing.
