"Massachutts is a evil state."
Jun. 30th, 2004 11:15 pmThe above quote is from my sister, who says werid things that she thinks God will eventualy smite/smote her for. Right now it's the "I'm allergic to God and Nature." To a teenager who was solicting windchims for his youth group. In her favor, she polietly told him "no" many times. But then he came back with his sponsor...
MA is driving me out of my mind. It's mostly the relitives, but there are other things. All these towns with the north, south, east, west designations and the the boro suffixs, and I'm not even gonna talk about the traffic and the weridnes of knowing slightly where I am but not really.
Most of this is (kinda sorta) culture shock. Or just the "oh my dear god, people!" shock. But at the same time it really makes me mad that I lived most of my life in the Northeast, my dad talks with the thickest Woster accent I have ever heard, I call carbonaded bevrages soda for Christsakes, and I'm getting werid vibes from being here?
I did in fact get out the last two days. I went to a Improvathon that my cousin Gwen's friends put together. So 20 or so teenagers just doing improv together on a schools lawn. I sucked, but the others were great. But since I won't seen any of those foalks again other than Gwen, no problem. But some five year olds told us that we sucked. Loudly, serveral times.
And today I went shoping, eating, and went to see Farenhight 9/11 which was good. And my grandfather and I got shoes.
Actually, I went shoping twice, once shoe shopping and once with my mom, sister, and auntie linda, who isn't my aunt at all but my mother's best friend forever. We went out to eat with her at Chillis, which was one of the places Mom wanted to eat at. The next one that we're going to (I think) is Dunken Doughnuts for some (in her humble opinion) proper doughnuts. None of this Krispy Kreme nonsense.
Now for sleep since I've got enough quality computer time until tomorrow. Wait... I have to read chapter four again of "Steps Though Time"... Now I'm done.
And I can't belive my grandmother called me a recluse when I blabber on and on... okay, now I'm done. Really.
