First Lesson - PG (drabble)
Dec. 3rd, 2005 04:55 pmSo, instead of working on all those other things I should be working on, I wrote this. Mostly since I suddenly got Dr. Forrester, and I got the flow thing too.
First Lesson
Doctor Clayton Forrester learned many things on his mother's lap. How to hate, how to be cruel to loved ones, but the first was the insignificance of the individual person.
He learned his lessons well.
Years later, in the dark after Frank died and his experiment was shut down, he reflected. He wasn't capable of much besides that.
Perhaps that's why the Forrester family was obsessed with ruling the world. Perhaps, just perhaps, when they finally did so, they would be able to refute the idea that they teethed on, and prove that the individual was important.
