This happened before to me, actually. Waaaay back when I was a die-hard digimon fan there was a group of sites that I hung out at *a lot*: The Lost Temple of Ishida, the shrine to the Dark Koushiro, and later the temple of Yomi. Evey single one of those places got screwed over by the: oh, it's not free folk.
PuppetMistress(PM) was on homestead, then on some other place, but it never stood a chance since she had to acually code stuff then because with homestead you didn't have to code. Claire has issues with Crosswinds first, and then a few places after that, but eventualy the site just got too damm big and it was popular to the point that no one could get to the site anymore. Icacu-chan's Yomi shrie was constantly screwed over by MSN to the point that it was too difficult to understand how to get from point a to point b.
