Oct. 21st, 2008 11:44 amMy laptop has died. I have to take it to a computer repair place to see if I can be fixed or not, as the on-campus tech support think it has more to do with the hardware. Luckily, I didn't have much on it that I can't recreate. I still have all the books so I can redo the bibligraphy, and all the notes I took only electronically are from only 40 pages of the same book. It'll be a bitch, but do-able.
Anyway, I have to get going now for a quick bite to eat and then head to the hospital for my testing.

Sorry to hear that!
Our home laptop died recently, but hopefully we've got all the important stuff elsewhere. The most important is pictures of our son, but I think we downloaded the most recent stuff to our other laptop (actually, a work one, often kept at home) and the older stuff is copied on disc and to both sets of grandparents every time we see them, so should be okay. We've sent it off, so I'm hoping we just get it back in all working order with all the data.
And I wish the same for you!!!
