twincityhackerWe spent three or so hours at the Connor Prarie. I love living history museams. But I do not like going in such a big group that doen't care for museams at all, because they're constantly moving on so I can't study things as long as I like or at all. This time it was more "at all", because we went to tell someone that we weren't leaving yet. So we had to wait for them, except they only came when it was time to go. We were waiting for a half hour.
Postive thoughts. The Indian part of the museam was cool, and twice as funny just with the students that were there. One of the interpeters had set out a bever trap and one of the girls set it off with a stick, but when it snaped shut she screamed. And I had a fun time explaining excactly were we were from because I just couldn't communicate "we came from the south". I tried and tried to say that one sentence but "we've travled north" kept gettin mixed in so it took a minute or two to get my head straight. And I learned three words in Delaware! I only remeber two though becaue the third didn't have a visual memory aid. So I know "wa-knee-shi"(please), "I-saw-me(thank you) and forgot crazy. Oh well.
And I diped a candel into wax without burning myself. YAY!
And I've been on a school bus for seven hours, since I went to Indiapolis and back today. This required me to be at school at 6 AM, which isn't terrible, So we could be back to school for 3:30 because, God forbid, the students miss sport practice!
I have 44 sudents in my Engilsh/US History class. 31 students went on the trip. If we weren't on the trip 15 students whould have gone. And people wonder why Jasper has a extermly elevated sucide/alcholism rate compared to the surrounding area.
But that doen't mean I didnt get somthing done in those seven hours. I read the rest of The Scarlet Letter for English, and did my math. And copied down a chapter of "Steps Though Time" into my mst3k slash notebook. Hopefly the space I left for chapter two fits.
And I missed the bus to go home, so I had to walk. But I found a goodish place to launch a rocket (it's long, but it's right next to a slightly busy road.)
