twincityhacker: hands in an overcoat's pockets (We're Okay)
The first day of classes went well - though next time I schedual, an hour gap btween classes that are right near each other is a little much. Intro to Ethics sounds fun, and spanish seems... intresting. Hard to belive I could follow her dioluge, as when I try watching something like Univision... *woosh* but i hae to take my $95 book to class everyday, and we're only going to use the last half.

But I did finaly find the proper dining hall and ate lots. The food was pretty good too. So it's been pretty much okay.

Except when I tried to trouble shoot Olivia's computer. Either the mail service was crap or someone ripped apart the box ad didn't put everythig back together right because things indide the computer shouldnt be unplugged just from going in air mail.

And go down to the Bursar's tomorrow to figure out WTF is going on with my bill.

Smart fabric

Do you know what would be cool? Use this tech to put re-programable moving pictures on shirts. You could porbably do something like that now with these fiber-optic cable fabric.

A pixel is just getting a signal to turn on or turn off. Cram enough of these onto a scren, with a complex pattern, and you get a picture. Fiber optics is also digital, being that it is either on or off. And depending on the material the electrcity/single/light where one wants it. So, couldn't ou tie a bunch of fiber optic cables together and send a singal in a repeated pattern?
