I was fact checking some MST3K history for mythrilmercury, and the infomation she wanted to know happened around 1993/1994.

The first site, Tom's Temple of MST3K stuff was no problem, a little sad because Joel left, but manageable.

Next, the Satellite News. Holy. Fucking. Shit.

I know about The Great Flame War. I know it's still taboo to bring Joel vs. Mike debate in many, many circles. When someone brought up the subject at the local mst3k community here, serveral people wanted the thread delated. And that was a decade after the fact.

But somehow, "Mike" and "death threats" happened to be in the same sentence. I understand that it was just a really small amount of the fanbase that was doing that, but it makes me fell really sad that the friendly MST3K fandom I know got that dark.
