why yes, I do write prose mst3k fic.

I just wrote out a really long, self-indulgent post. I now feel horrible.

The most relevant part, is:

Should I post the fact that we're having our annual [livejournal.com profile] mst3kslash secret santa this year over at [livejournal.com profile] mst3k. I'm hesitant because it's fic, 'cause the comm is anti-fic, and it's slash, and while I'm not certain of that comm, I'm a bit wary as bringing it up tends to make people... make funny faces... when it was brought up in other places. Most recently as the MST3K Discussion Board. And others, but their complaints was more quality than that we're insane for slashing Joel and Mike 'cause there is no way that they could be gay.

And more importantly:

Seriously, am I still blacklisted/steered away from/whatever it was? Or has everyone forgotten/forgiven?

I wouldn't post it there, honestly; it just doesn't seem like a particularly friendly or receptive audience for that. (Never been crazy about the comm, particularly all those "My third grade teacher was named Mr. Mitchell! MITCHELL! Get it, MITCHELL!" posts...)

I don't get the quote posts. That the entire comm seems to be mostly made up confuses me - there must be something else to talk about, right?

You'd think there'd be quite a lot else to talk about, but...like I said, never been very fond of that comm.

I get kind of whiny, but I figure it's okay...

I have no idea what is going on, but ILU. ;_;

I don't really have anything to say to rabid non-slashers, fanwork bashers and general party crashers. And perhaps I'm a bit butthurt, but the snark that I was OMGOBJECTIFYING Joel really pissed me off. So, fuck 'em. I mean, I'll gladly talk to gen fans if they're nice, but fanworks raise some gall in people. So...fuck 'em. Now my het/gen art isn't for them either. Anyone who doesn't notice the undertones is blind or obstinate or both.

(Mike seems more gay than Joel, IMHO. He's campier. X3 Speaking of, I have a BUTTLOAD of art for the group, which should cheer things up and raise morale. I HAVE CROW/TIMMY.)

I have no idea what is going on, but ILU. ;_; ♥ I love you too, honey.

The flagging thing just drugged up the issues, and the writing clarified why fandom/I sucked.

As long as Mike has weird moments with Pearl!

You mentioned housewife Mike with amazing strap-on!Pearl once. Sometimes I just...meditate on that. I haven't drawn it, but I should.

OH PEE ESS, [livejournal.com profile] 1si6 and I noticed Voyager's Tom Paris looks an awful lot like a reverse caricature of Mike, as if one de-exaggerated his features.

One of these days I'm gonna have to check out Voyager...
