At the parentals!
I was just having a peak at
ladyrouge79's journal, and I noticed that there is such a thing as the The Fanfiction Directory, which is a nifty idea in itself.
Even if the MST3K bit is a bit crap. Honestly, five sites?
But the thing that made my day is that for the reason that the first two entires are slash authors that dabble in quite a few fandoms the slash vastly outnumbers the... everything else. Which is so, totally not the way the MST3K fandom sqews. (Subtracting the Secret Santa coming up, which always tips the slash up around Christmas time, of course.)
Okay, that's not what actually made my day. What really made my day was some poor soul put the MST3K fanfiction page under Slash-Male. I belive the words I used was "Oh my fucking god,
slwaton is going to freak the fuck out." So, I submited a change catagory form to change it from slash to gen.
Though I'm still vastly amused by the fact that someone thought it was an awesome idea to put it under slash-male in the first place. I mean, seriously, where the hell would you get such an idea?
And I'm going to start tossing in my link list when a get a spare moment. Because, five sites! And one of them doesn't even have MST3K stuff on it, even though it is advertised as such.

The preversions of the Japanese seem so much simpler, I can figure out Shota, hentai, yaoi, yuri.... but geez fanfiction is just weird >_>
I don't even really get the point of any of them XD

No, slash male is usually just slash, because girl-girl action is usually called femeslash. And not written as much. Though I'm deeply confused on the whole angle of why femeslash isn't as popular, other than the fact that there is a lacking in female charecters with UST running about.
If you're wondering about why the site doesn't count as slash-male is that it doesn't have any slash on it, and I don't particuararly see a slash fic ever popping up there due to tons of sundry reasons that I don't really want to get into right now.
Yeah, I don't get why the anime fandom labels make - usually - more sense than the English language fandoms. Unless you want to talk why people thought the lable of the "orange" was a good idea. *shakes head* I know it's a step below a lemon, but the question is still why.
