We had a community cook out today. We had burgers and hot dogs and brats and boca bugers. I had fun, even though I went in early because I wasn't feeling well. I heard that the rest of the party went smashing. Some one literaly, actually, since my room was actually overlooking the party. = ) But it didn't interfer with my napping, so it was cool.
Since people wanted to spread the rage: HP Digital Cameras now have a 'sliming feature' since the camera adds 10 pounds or whatnot. All it really does is make the person/picture a little less wide. I haven't really think of it has rage worthy, but I'm not really feeling the anger here.
And todays word of the day:
adjudicate -
1. To hear and settle (a case) by judicial procedure.
2. To study and settle (a dispute or conflict): The principal adjudicated our quarrel.
Because I had to use this in a sentence today. Well, it was a quotation, but I still had to use the silly thing. Hilariously, on the dictionary.com page, the ad was for HP digital cameras.

It was at the testing phase at the time, but it's not like it was a secret. It's rather silly when you think about why a camera "adds ten pounds"; it usually has to do with lighting and the limits of the camera itself. The new feature has nothing to do with the problem.

Though you should tell that to HP about the lighting conditions/limits of the camera, as dropping those ten pounds is part of their advertising pitch for the slimming feature. = )

I personally would prefer if they tried adding something a little more useful to a camera... but I guess after eliminating red eye there's nothing much you can do but make people less fat in pictures *rolls eyes* next thing you know htey'll have a "make them look taller" picture...
