If you cut out the Atlantic Ocean, I could drive from Bloomington to Cardiff in 24 hours according to Google Maps.

But since there is a large body of water between the two locations, I need to tack on another 29 days to swim across it from Boston, USA to La Havre, France. It's only a measly 1,415 miles! Just a little further than Boston to the Twin Cities. *nods*

I'd prefer to cut out the Pacific Ocean.

It just acts way too important just because it's huge as all hell.

True, but the Pacific is slowly shrinking, so I think it's acting important is just a mask about it's insecurites about the future.
