Unless you're wondering about the Joel 1/2 bit, and it's a rather old fic .Joel 1/2 (http://www.fortunecity.com/lavender/pimlico/131/hhalf.htm) that someone wrote as an alternte way to replace Joel, turn him into woman!
It's not really all that bad. The basic idea is that Joel as a tinsy accident with one of his invention exchanges - he makes a device that changes sexes, and when it blows up he get's stuck as a woman.
I'm not sure if Joel would make a hot woman or not. I know he would look rather hot cross-dressing though. Then again, I have a fetish for that kind of stuff. XD
I don't think there's any would about it. I'm sure that Joel cross dressed a time or two on the show. I mean, come on, the number of times that Mike showed up in skirt is almost too many to count.
That's a good question. I haven't made up in my mind which makes the better idea, even though I have run both plots/thought experiements.
For the purposes of this poll though... no Mike doesn't know, as Joel's vaugely calling himself something like Joanne in public to better go by unoticed and hide from the MADS and so on.
There's also a bit that explains that Mike is from normal cannoniy, so he knows Joel, though a diffrent Joel than the Joel from this particualar alt universe - but it gets a bit complicated. = )
I guess I should just read the fic, then? I can't decide, if Mike doesn't know Joel's made the switch and just thinks he's a hot and strangely familiar female. I think it's het if Mike doesn't know, and neither if he knows.
Like Thom Yorke, I can't picture Joel Robinson as a girl. They both just look like their own weird alien gender that generally parses as "male" in humanbrains. Mike, I could kind of see. *shrug*
