Where's GunToteing!Mike when you need him?

I've been watching a lot of scifi era episodes recently, as I've been looking for screencaps to make Pearl icons with. Then I noticed something percuiliar: Pearl/Mike would make a pretty good 'ship. Oh, I know it's twisted, sick, and wrong. But I just can't helping seening it.

Though when you looks at the majority of the 'ships in this fandom, most of them are pretty frelled up. So it's not that terribley off the wall, is it? I mean almost every single relationship on MST3K - and I'm not just counting 'ships, so Pearl's and Clay's relationship and what goes on during Soultaker counts too - are disfuctional, usualy to a high degree.

Edit: I have 15 16 pairings that I 'ship with more or less seriousness for MST3K. I suck.

Dammit. I forgot I 'shiped Magic Voice/Joel.

And there is a cute vibe in Pearl/Mike, even though half of you is yelling at him to run far, far away. But they seem to geniuly like each other. It's very odd, considering that she's chasing him though the universe and torching him with bad movies.

maybe it's one of those 9 year old things, you have a crush on someone you be mean to them. Only, in this case, she makes an attempt here or there to kill him.

If I rememeber correctly, she never tried to kill them, as Mike thanked her for not attemtpting to kill them. Which was good, because at that moment she was about to send up a bomb to kill them.

But! Yes, she does have that 9 year old things. Why must this be so sacrrine?
