Two things:

1. Recently someone did a tutorial on how to make charecter banners, and their example was of the Redux-verse. Who did this? I can't seem to find it.

2. When did the UK stop allowing tax money to be directed to manned space exploration? It's been mentioned several places but I have not found the date. I think it was after 1986, as the government put in money in HOTOL - a reusable rocket, similar to the space shuttle.

The UK government has never "stopped allowing" tax money going into manned space flight. It just chooses not to currently allocate anything in the BNSC budget towards it. It does not fund the ISS in any way, contribute towards ESA manned spaceflight programmes - which means there is no UK astronaut - but there has been a change of heart recently towards the proposed NASA lunar exploration. The UK may well contribute towards that. That's the very, very brief version of about four recent reports that you could find if you went to start researching via hitting BNSC, RAeS (specifically their Space Group), RAS and BIS.

But I suspect the date you are looking for in relation to what you mention is 1988.

The first I heard of the topic was at the BNSC page, but I kept poking at the site and didn't get the information I was looking for.

And thanks for the additional sites. I keep chasing my tail around five sites and getting no where.
