"Free Bird" is also a thing. That is, yelling out requests for "Free Bird" is a thing. Hell, I've done it, and I don't even like it all that much. People just yell "Free Bird!" It's fun.

There was a very funny article somewhere about that phenomenon, and if I remember right, one of the members of Lynryd Skynyrd even said he'd done it.

(And do you remember that Giles has sung it on BtVS? He probably took an ironic request seriously.)
