What Would Jesus Do? Jesus would wear his seatbelt!

Yesterday Sam Rhine came to give the Genetic Update confrence, so I skipped out on school and did that instead. Six hours of biology = yay.

The speach as somewhat similar to last years presentation - actually the last half hour or so was just a re-tread on last year's speach with some info on what the hell was going on in South Korea the last few weeks.

Anyway, somewhere the along the day, we got the "Complete Idiot's guide to HIV and AIDS" talk. (And yes, he did give "for god's sake, use a condom!" speach too.) And as near as I can figure, HIV is one of those things that make's you argue against intellegent design, because the only reason why HIV makes you sick is because the receptors on the virus just happens to fit snug to the receptors on white blood cells.

And if I ever need to have a mad scientist who is a biologist, I know excatly what their working on. *nods*

I also read Memiors of a Genisha yesterday, and it... well, it mostly sucked. I'm not sure why, but I think it's the romance. And the vauge hollowness of the gensia, since to be sucessful they had to be someone's mistriss. Yeah, I didn't like the book.

But what I did end up liking was The Book of Daniel. But when they weer talking about the missing money, I couldn't help thinking "I didn't embezzle the money, it was just resting in my account before I moved it along!"

But it did interfer with watching NUMB3ERS - I hope The Book of Daniel is going to be shown in the first time slot since it had a two hour debut.

I rather liked the book when I read it in high school. Then again, I'm very interested in Japanese culture.

Memiors of a Genshia could be set in the US and I would still dislike it. At a ceriten point, Denied Love took over the plot, and the story just got tiresome. I just don't like book romances.
